Mrs. D

Laney DeShetler

Hello! I look forward to us having a great year. There are many reasons that ELA is important, but some of the skills that we will be building this year will be how to understand and apply what you learn from texts, how to express yourself in writing by using figurative language, how to write in a manner that your letters and arguments are clear and effective, and introduce you over-all to different advantages of reading both fiction and non-fiction.

My expectations for my students are that they listen to instructions, are respectful to me and their classmates,  and that they try their best!
