7th Grade Counseling SFA Middle School

Welcome to the 7th Grade Counselor's SFA Website!  My name is Laura Stephenson, and I have been working in Bryan ISD for approximately 20 years.  The counseling program at SFA Middle School is committed to meeting the needs of children through positive interactions with others.  It is that goal of SFA Middle School to provide students with a quality education and extracurricular activities that encourage healthy competition and success in a positive environment.  The administration, counselors, and teachers are invested in creating an environment that facilitates growth and success.
 
STEPS TO BRONCO SUCCESS:  We here at SFA teach children to be STRONG and to follow the Essential 8 Curriculum.  Successful students use the following skills and encourage others to follow them as well.

Bronco Success videos will be shown to the children throughout the year to encourage students to implement these skills into the classroom and into the school as a whole.  Remember, we can be STRONG together as we diligently use the Essential 8 Skills.
As we enter the 2020-2021 school year, there will be some new opportunities for growth.  Our goal is to encourage students as they grow academically, emotionally, physically, and in other areas of their lives.   At SFA Middle School, we are here to teach the whole child   With a climate of optimism and respect, we aim to work with parents to develop students into caring responsible citizens who have an impact on our world.  As parents graciously work with us, we will be able to lead our students into learning a great work ethic, having good decision making skills, and being the leaders that they were meant to be.
