Prospective bus drivers, bus aides, custodians, maintenance staff and school nutrition workers are invited to the 2017 Bryan ISD Winter Job Fair Jan. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sam Rayburn Middle School.
Same day interviews are available and applicants can complete applications on-site or prior to attending the event at the Bryan ISD Job Opportunities page.
Bryan ISD human resources personnel welcome the chance to meet prospective employees at the job fair to answer their questions face-to-face. They will describe benefit packages in detail and expand on the non-monetary advantages of working for Bryan ISD.
Full-time auxiliary employees are eligible to earn health and dental insurance, a retirement plan from Teacher Retirement System of Texas, 10 leave days, an employee assistance program, sick leave, access to the Bryan ISD/City of Bryan Employee Health Center, which offers a $0 copay and more.
Bus drivers and aids are offered a four hours per day guaranteed work day, a split shift schedule, time off for student holidays, paid commercial driver’s license training, and a starting pay of $15 per hour for CDL drivers, $10.46 per hour for bus driver trainees and $8.75 per hour for bus aides.
For Custodians, 10-month and 12-month positions are available at 8 hours per day. Starting pay for floor technicians is $9.68 per hour and $8.50 per hour for custodians.
Maintenance positions available at 8 hours per day. Licensed plumbers can earn $14.41 to $17.26 per hour and certified HVAC mechanics can earn $14.41 to $18.99 per hour.
Manager trainees are wanted to become cafeteria managers at a starting salary of $8.82 to $10.82 per hour. School nutrition worker positions that don’t require previous experience, get time off for student holidays and offer a starting salary of $8.25 per hour. Full-time school nutrition positions are available from 6.5 to 7.5 hours per day and part-time positions are available at 3 hours per day.
