Stephen F. Austin Middle School Cheer Organization
SFA cheerleaders are to model Bronco Swag at all times. It is our mission to uphold the pride and tradition of the Stephen F. Austin Middle School Broncos through the unification of the student body, alumni and fans. We will support as many athletic events as possible and promote a positive game-day atmosphere for SFA and its athletes.
Cheerleaders are expected to be physically and mentally skilled in learning and remembering cheers. They are also expected to be able to publicly demonstrate a skill level suitable for the team position and the timing necessary for group performance. Off the field, they are to enthusiastically support all athletic teams through advertisement, personal attitude, and attendance at events chosen by the sponsor and approved by the principal.
SFA cheerleaders are responsible for cheering at home football games, decorating the school with spirit, modeling appropriate behavior outlined in the student code of conduct, and performing at each school pep rally. SFA cheerleaders take initiative to be a leader in all that they do.
Generally Practice will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 4:15-5:30 and Wed/Thursday mornings from 7:00-7:45.
Cheerleaders will put on one pep rally each semester.
Cheerleaders will outreach students to build the program. Goal: 30+ students at tryouts for following year.
